WELCOME TO MY "NAMEZ" project
'MATTHEW' name
This project evolved out of a personal exploration into the geometric formations of letters and the question of "Y". WhY do certain letters share certain characteristics and shapes? Is there a deeper meaning in all of it or is it just random lines that someone made up and society agreed on as a whole to accept?
Playing around with the architecture of letters first began around 95/96 but didn't initiate into a fascination until 2000ish when things started to shift dramatically with the turning of the millennium clock. Eventually it can to a point where certain letters seemed one in the same and that they shared the a common place and time... ie: NZ. YNZ? And the concept of overlapping the alphabet upon each other hence evolved. The creation of the names as geometric art began around 2005ish years after the first explorations back in 2000. And so the evolution still continues.
