Before electricity... the light people saw was in the form of fires, stars, the moon, the sun, fireflies, lightning. It has often been interpreted in myth as magical, heavenly, alive... and beautiful. Our modern society, for the most part, has removed the beauty from light with florescent monotone cubicles and mundane environmental lighting. The magic of inspiration we once got from the light has turned into dark. Lighting, in my perspective, is one of the most undeveloped art forms... and unappreciated. The images you see are of lighting designs and lighting installations built with the intent of bring back the mystery within the light, the beauty within all we see.
